Every day, volunteers add to the caring environment at Elmore Medical Center, helping patients and their families at a stressful time in their lives. By volunteering your time, you help give back to your community and make Elmore Medical Center a friendlier, more welcoming place for everyone.

Volunteer Eligibility
People of all ages (14 years or older) are encouraged to volunteer at Elmore Medical Center. While most volunteers work Monday – Friday between 8 am and 5 pm, some volunteers choose to work evenings and weekends.

Volunteer Interviews
Volunteering at EMC requires a good match between a person’s interests and talents and the work available to volunteers at the hospital. While determining a match is usually a simple process, good communication is essential. The volunteer interview helps the prospective volunteer learn about volunteer opportunities available at Elmore Medical Center and helps the Volunteer Coordinator identify areas that best meet the volunteers interests and skills.
New volunteers will be asked to complete a volunteer application and adult volunteers must authorize a Criminal Background Check. You may also be asked to attend a second interview with a prospective department supervisor. Once an acceptable match is made, the new volunteer is scheduled to attend training.

Volunteer Training
All new volunteers must attend volunteer training before they can begin actively volunteering at Elmore Medical Center. The volunteer training familiarizes new volunteers with the policies and procedures that govern volunteer activities at Elmore Medical Center.
